Marygrove College Graduate Student This past January I applied and started my degree for my graduate program for Education Technology. My first class was a mandated Reading Differentiation course.
School Yearbook Coordinator (2012-present) I am currently on the School Yearbook Committee. With my team, we designed and generated the content and quality of the school’s yearbook. This was done by compiling and editing school portraits on an online software program.
Adult Coordinator St. Anastasia Youth Group, Troy MI (April 2011-present) For the past three years, I have been a part of a high school youth group where I have createdfaith and community based lesson plans and activities for 50 high school students
Summer School Reading Teacher, Lamphere Schools, Madison Heights, MI (July-August 2011, 2013 I administered running records and formative assessment to determine student achievement. I also coordinated small group guided reading instruction to students in emergent reading
Student Council Moderator for St. Patrick School For two years, I lead our 4th-8th grade Student Council body as a moderator. We generated thousands of dollars for school enhancements and donations to various organizations and causes through numerous fundraising activities We also prepared and conducted a school wide pep rally for over 500 students
English Language Tutor, A.C.L.E(Associazione Culturale Linguistica Educational), Italy (June –August 2012) I provided full-immersion experience in English lessons for Italian children ages 6-14 through song, dance, theatre and interactive games.
Private Tutor Private Household, Okemos, MI (2005-2006); White Lake, MI (Sept. 2010-2013)Customized private social studies lessons and assessments for a fifth grade student. I also supported reading and math instruction for a second and third grade student.
Alternative Spring Break Group Coordinator and Volunteer In 2008, I led and oversaw a week-long trip for 14 MSU undergraduates volunteering in an Alternative Spring Break. In 2007 I helped elementary-aged children express themselves through arts and athletics In 2006 I was a teacher aide in an inner city K-8 school.
